At Remedium, my primary focus is advising the team on scientific development roadmaps, particularly in relation to LimeLoop's advancement. I also provide strategic guidance and market insights, drawing on my extensive knowledge of the carbon capture market and technology landscape.

I hold a PhD in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary. In my PhD research, I investigated the calcium looping process for post-combustion carbon capture and tackled some of the most important challenges for industrialization of the process. During my PhD studies, I developed invaluable skill sets in project planning, execution, technical writing, research and grant proposal writing, hands-on lab experience, experimental validation, and a strong fundamental knowledge of the CCUS field and the state-of-the-art technology. My work has been recognized in a number of occasions as demonstrated by the awards and scholarships that I have received including Alberta Innovates Graduate Scholarship, NOVA Chemicals Graduate Scholarship, Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship, Mitacs Globalink Research Award, and Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. Graduate Scholarship. I was nominated for the University of Calgary Award for Graduate Assistants (Teaching), and I was also a finalist in the University of Calgary 3-Minute Thesis Competition.

In the journey of becoming a entrepreneur, I have taken an entrepreneurship course at the Haskayne School of Business of the University of Calgary. I have experience in the Canadian oil and gas industry working as a process engineer at CNRL's Horizon oil sands. My experience in the oil and gas industry complements my passion for decarbonization of this sector, as I have first-hand experience in the industry and am very familiar with the processes involved. This gives me confidence that there is a great opportunity to decarbonize the sector by implementing our technology and take a step towards our ambitious goal of reaching net-zero.
